Enter this backyard and you’ll find yourself in an intimate relaxation spot—a charming pond, trickling water, tropical plants and colorful flower beds nestled under tall oak trees. A bathing mermaid surveys the pond from her perch at the waterfall while frogs, fairies and gnomes keep an eye on things from below. Red, yellow and peach hardy water lilies provide shade and hiding places for the goldfish. Ferns, pickerel and lizard tail give a lush, tropical feel to the area.
