I don’t want to end up like this guy…

The urge to write is still very strong
and I have been working on a new pond
and would like to get it done this week
to try to beat the Texas heat
that will soon be upon us as we well know
that every year it is the same
this year has started nice and slow
and working outside has been fun
as the weather has not yet really warmed
although this is Texas so be informed
that 100 degrees is not far away
and could be here any day
and all I ask is one more week
to try to beat the Texas heat.
