It is almost that time of the year again
when man can be good to his fellow men
friendships renewed old grudges are gone
with everyone ready to carry on
I’m not talking Christmas that time of good cheer
but rather to welcome a brand New Year
with fresh ideas and a new lease of life
a time to forget any previous strife
to make new friends or old friendships renew
and help your neighbor and some of the few
who are down on their luck and need a hand
with money or food to get out of the jamb
that luck and life has dealt to them
and looking for help from their fellow men
life itself can be very hard
especially if you draw the wrong card
but with help from others in better shape
a whole new life it’s possible to make
all it needs is that helping hand
before the timer runs out of sand.
Help your fellow man…

If everybody cared as this person obviously does for his dog, the world would be a much better place.

Not one of my pictures unfortunately. I see plenty of homeless with dogs and I always give something to them as the pets usually look in better shape than their owners.
A good reminder that we need to pause more frequently to encourage and support others along the way. 🙂
So true but unfortunately, we are all “too busy”.
I think our busy lives becomes part of the demise of society.
And what are we really busy doing? This modern age with all of its gadgets is causing us to lose our individuality.
