The Austin Pond Society held its 23rd Annual Pond Tour on June 3-4, 2017. The North Tour was held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 with a total of 11 ponds. All were exceptional and all offered something just a little different,
There were too many pictures for one video so it is split into Part 1 and Part 2.

Sam got so many ideas on the North Shore that I had to stop him from thinking about it. First it was a waterfall and stream coming around the side and then he wanted to add a waterfall going into the bog! He’s really good at thinking of things for me to clean.
Right now he’s building an 18 foot bridge for a friend who lives across the golf course with a gully in her front yard. Then we start on our new waterfall.

He sounds as busy as you are.
Amateur pond enthusiast, with one tiny pond. It has plants and fish and is doing well. I dream of someday retiring, and having a large, sustainable, eco friendly pond. I got a lot of ideas from the videos. Thanks
That is what we hope when we do this every year that just a few people may get the bug after what they see on the tour. Thanks for commenting…
We visited some friends in Onarga, Illinois, and they have a very impressive, large pond! And they have a lot of terrestrial land tortoises that they breed. 🙂
I have a few Red Eared Sliders in my ponds. They come and they go pretty much at will unless the dogs find them and then they bark a lot and flip them over onto their backs, usually making so much noise that I can rescue them.
