Rainy Day

It’s raining today
the skies are gray and gloomy
the weather is cold
it is a miserable day…

But, I am alive
I awoke this morning
full of hopes and dreams
ready to face the world.

Instead, I sit by the window
and look out at the rain
and feel blessed
that I awoke.
